Where are your wood gates made?

Every gate we build is hand-built in our workshop in Sherwood, Oregon.

What types of wood do you use?

Our wooden gates are made from the best grade of Western Red Cedar. Our lumber is tight-grained, knot-free & kiln-dried for dimensional stability

Why do you use Western Red Cedar?

Western Red Cedar, valued for its outstanding resistance to decay and visual attractiveness, is used extensively in exterior construction applications

How can I be sure what I order is what I need?

You can talk directly with a PGW craftsman. The success of your project is important to us!

Can you make custom wood gate designs that aren’t on your website?

Yes, absolutely. This is one of our specialties. We can collaborate with you to design and build a one-of-a-kind wood gate for your home.

How long does it take to get to my gate?

Walk-through gates are delivered 4 to 6 weeks after an order is placed. Please allow 1 to 2 additional weeks for driveway gate orders.

How much do your gates weigh?

Walk-through gates average 50 lbs, including the hinge and latching hardware.

Driveway gates are 150 – 250 lbs per gate half, including the steel reinforcement frame

How do you package your gates?

Shipping your gate from our workshop to your home in good condition is essential.

We use time-tested packing methods and high-grade materials to ensure everything arrives safely.

All of our driveway gates ship in custom-built wood crates.

What is included with your walk-through gates?

Our walk-through gate packages include a custom-made gate, two cedar jambs,

three hinges & latching hardware to secure your gate.
